West Prairie High School students are preparing to take their fall semester finals on December 17, 18, and 19. All high school courses administer a final exam to assess students’ understanding of key concepts from the semester. Finals are two class periods long and are spread out over three days.
Refer to the exam schedule below to find the timing of your exams.
Wednesday, December 17
- 8:00–9:50 — 1st Hour Exam
- 10:00–11:40 — 3rd Hour Exam
- 12:50–2:30 — 5th Hour Exam
High school students who are passing all of their classes and have no missing assignments may leave at 2:30 p.m.
Thursday, December 18
- 8:00–9:50 — 2nd Hour Exam
- 10:00–11:40 — 4th Hour Exam
- 12:50–2:30 — 6th Hour Exam
High school students who are passing all of their classes and have no missing assignments may leave at 2:30 p.m.
Friday, December 19
- 8:00–9:50 — 7th Hour Exam
- 10:00–11:40 — 8th Hour Exam
- 12:00-3:05 –– Makeup Exams, Missing Work, Clean Lockers, Games/Activities
High school students who are passing all of their classes and have no missing assignments may leave at 11:40 a.m.
Some students were able to exempt certain final exams by meeting all of the following requirements:
- Four or fewer excused absences (non-medical, including mental health days)
- No unexcused absences
- Five or fewer tardies
- Five or fewer discipline referrals
- An 85% or higher in the course being exempted
- No grades below 70% in any course
Final exemption criteria reset at the start of each semester. If you did not meet the requirements this semester, you will have the opportunity to work toward exemption next semester.
