The week of Feb. 23 marks FFA Week, a celebration of agricultural education, leadership and school spirit. Students will have multiple opportunities throughout the week to participate in themed dress-up days, parking lot activities, competitions and a canned food drive.
Dress-Up Days
Students who participate in dress-up days must wear their outfit to lunch for it to be counted.
- Monday: Wear Blue and Gold
- Tuesday: Dress Like Your Ag Advisor
- Wednesday: Brand Rep (John Deere vs. Case, Ford vs. Chevy, etc.)
- Thursday: Ag Career Day
- Friday: Pajama Day
Parking Lot Activities
Students must park in the gravel parking lot to participate in daily vehicle activities.
- Monday: Truck Day (Drive a truck to school)
- Tuesday: Trailer Day (Drive to school with a trailer)
- Wednesday: Tractor Day (Drive a tractor to school)
- Thursday: Car Day (Drive a car to school – bonus points if it’s a classic or a new car)
- Friday: Sunrise Breakfast (Come to school early for a breakfast bar in the Ag shop)
Competitions Include:
- Most hours/miles
- Oldest vehicle
- Dirtiest vehicle
- Longest trailer
- Newest vehicle
- Least miles/hours
Daily Scavenger Hunt
Each day, students can search the school for the designated item. Items should be turned in to McGrew during ag class, passing periods or after school.
- Monday: Ag stickers
- Tuesday: Cutouts of DeCounter and McGrew
- Wednesday: Mini cows
- Thursday: WP FFA jacket sticker
- Friday: Mini chickens
Canned Food Drive
Students should bring canned food items to their class sponsor at the end of the week. The class that collects the most donations will win a pizza party.
Morning Announcements Trivia
Each morning during announcements, a trivia question will be shared. Classes must call the office to answer. Speed matters.
FFA Week is a chance to celebrate agriculture, show off some serious school spirit and spark a little friendly competition along the way. Organizers hope everyone jumps in, gets involved and helps make the week one to remember.
