West Prairie High School will host its 2026 prom, “A Golden Night with Glitz and Glamour,” on Saturday, April 11, 2026, featuring lots of sparkle and gold accents.

The grand march will be at 5 p.m. in the West Prairie Jr./Sr. High School gymnasium, 600 S. Hun St., Colchester. Dinner will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Macomb Field House, 254 S. Collins Ave., Macomb. There will be a filling dinner buffet provided by The County Line Diner. The dance will begin at 7 p.m. at the Macomb Field House, with music provided by M & S Light Production Services.

Prom tickets are $25 per person unless you’re a senior, then it is free. Outside guests pay regardless of grade level. All students bringing an underclassman guest or a guest from a different school need to secure a date pass from the office. Forms must be turned in with proper documentation by Thursday, April 2, 2026.

After taking photos at the grand march, students will go to After Prom. Check-in will be from 10 to 11 p.m. at West Prairie High School. The Class of 2027 parents have an exciting and eventful overnight lock-in planned. It is free to all participants; however, students who want to purchase a T-shirt will pay a minimal charge. Students do not have to attend prom to attend After Prom.

Senior Brecken Smith is excited to dance with her friends one last time.

“I’m excited to dance and get ready with my friends one last time, before graduation. I’m also excited to go to After Prom and have fun with my friends. I think this year’s prom is going to be fun and I will be making the best of it.”
