The West Prairie Press began as a monthly digital newspaper created by the West Prairie High School journalism class. Originally shared as a PDF via email, the paper highlighted school events, student achievements, and other news from around the junior/senior high school. After a successful first year, the staff transitioned to a more flexible and accessible online blog format.
Now, The West Prairie Press serves as a living hub for all things WP—documenting news, spotlighting student voices, and capturing the everyday moments that make our school community unique. Whether it’s sports coverage, arts features, student opinions, or local happenings, our mission is simple: to inform, celebrate, and connect the West Prairie community.
